I purchased my first Bullmastiff in May of 1974. I was born and raised in New York City and I feel I was very fortunate to grow up around some of the best breeders in the country. I met Dick Cannone who became my mentor and one of my best friends. I went on to register my first litter in the early eighties and based my breeding program around BIS Ch.
TJ’s Bullmastiffs is located in the small town of Corapeake North Carolina which is just over the Virginia state line. I have been an animal lover all my life into horse showing and dogs. When we moved to NC I no long had any dogs but had horses then decided to go into another breed of dog which turned out to be the bullmastiff. This breed is not for everyone. It is a very large, strong, hardheaded breed that needs lots of discipline, and socialization with people and other dogs but with this comes a wonderful pet if raised right. People need to do their homework before taking on any breed.
